Disable Adobe Flash in Microsoft Edge
If you have Windows 10 Creators update, then Flash is automatically blocked. But, the issue there is that even Microsoft has given a warning to its users about the bugs that the Creator’s update has. So, some users are reluctant to upgrade and rather use the version they currently have.

Method 1 – Using Edge’s Settings
To get things started open Edge from either the Start menu, task bar, or desktop. Click on the three horizontal lines at the top right corner and choose Settings. Look for and click on View Advanced settings.

Method 2 – Using Registry Window
If you’re having problems with the first method you can always try this one. You will need to open the registry window and you can easily do that by typing regedit in the Search box. and them pressing Enter. Take your time with the following step since it’s very important that you locate the right folder. You’re going to have to access the Microsoft Edge folder that you can find under the HKEY_CURRENT_USER key and once you’ve found it expand it. Now, double-tap on the Software key and expand the Classes key. Expand theLocal Settings key and then expand the Software key that’s available under Local Settings. Now go to Microsoft Key > CurrentVersion key > AppContainer key > Storage Key > microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe key > here where Microsoft Edge will be. Once you’ve found the Microsoft Edge folder, go ahead and expand it as well and choose the Addons key. Under this last key you should be able to see FlashPlayerEnabled and when you select it you’ll be able to see name DWORD value.
Double-click on this Dword and make sure that the Value data is set to 0. Click OK to save and from that point on Flash will be disabled. If you ever need to enable Flash again all you have to do is follow the above steps and when you get to where you added the 1 to DWORD, simply change it to 1 again. Method 3 – Using The Group Policy Editor
Disabling Flash by using the group policy editor is a great way to keep it off. With method one, someone could easily turn it back on and forget to turn it off. With this method, once you turn it off, you can’t turn it back on by simply going into the browser’s settings. You have to use this method to enable it again. Type gp into the Search box and then the Group Policy window should open. Once it’s open double-click on the Computer configuration options and then on the Administrative Templates. Now, expand the Windows Components option and then click on the Microsoft Edge folder.
When you see the list of options find and double-click on the Allow Adobe Flash option. When it’s open you’re going to see three different options to the left of your display. Choose Disabled and don’t forget to save your new settings. Whenever you need to undo what you did, just repeat these steps but click on Enabled.
